Sony’s 3000 Photos Bought Film Rights to ‘My Mother-in-Law Trying to Kill Me’;  Jessica Knoll to Adapt Reddit Short Story and Executive Producer

Special: Sony Pictures’ 3000 Pictures pre-purchased movie rights I think my mother-in-law is trying to kill me.– A psychological thriller based on a Reddit story by Nick Murfox.

While the story of the upcoming movie is kept secret, the story released in 2019 is about an unnamed character whose mother is convinced that Betsy is trying to poison him. “Everyone has a nightmarish mother-in-law story, although I can’t imagine how bad it would be for me,” the hero says. “The worst part was that my mom didn’t poison me, the worst part was why she did it.”

New York Times bestselling author Jessica Knoll is adapting the first-person story for the screen and serving as executive producer. Lit Entertainment Group’s Adam Colbrenner and Ground Control’s Scott Glasgold are added as producers, along with Marisa Paiva, who directed the project for 3000 Pictures.

Knoll recently adapted her own novel, which became the New York Times bestselling novel. luckiest girl alive, for Netflix. The movie, starring Mila Kunis, will premiere on Streamer this fall.
