Marvel Studios Are Looking For Actress Like Dakota Johnson For ‘Fantastic Four’

It seems Marvel has now begun an active search for actors to make up the new lineup of the ‘Fantastic 4’ reboot for the MCU. And is that it is now rumored that Kevin Feige’s company is looking for an actress like Dakota Johnson to keep the role of Sue Storm, or also known as the invisible woman, in the MCU.

In a talk for The Hot Mic podcast, insider Jeff Sneider mentioned this Marvel Is Looking For Actress Like Dakota Johnson For ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot’. The leaker provided some specifics details: “So we’re looking towards the 30-35 age range and from what I understand, Dakota Johnson is the prototype,” he said.

Sneider mentions it Marvel is looking for an actress between the ages of 30 and 35 to play Sue Storm: “As for the Fantastic Four, I mean… When we were talking about their age… Sue Storm’s age… And we said they were going to start building around Sue Storm. And then I brought up Saoirse Ronan, and someone else came up and said Saoirse looked a little too young.”

It’s worth mentioning that none of this is official information, however, this report comes after reports claimed it Marvel wants to hire actress Sue Storm first, to find from then on the actors who make up the rest of the “Fantastic 4” team. Disney plans to have the entire cast begin recording in 2024.

Dakota Johnson Won’t Sue Storm in ‘Fantastic Four’

To clarify the doubts, Sneider clarified that Dakota Johnson will not be Sue Storm in the reboot of ‘Fantastic Four’: “But no, obviously, it will not be Dakota Johnson, because she is Madame Web. And this is something that, I think, is in undergoing further photography at this time. So she won’t be Dakota Johnson. Dakota Johnson is 32 I believe so does that mean they are looking for a white woman? Not necessarily. But you know, I think in an ideal world they would want someone like Dakota Johnson.”

Right now there are few actresses on the Hollywood scene between the ages of 30 and 35 who could get the role of Sue Storm, once played by Jessica Alba and Kate Mara in previous films in the series. But some mention Anya Taylor-Joy, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Jodie Comer, among others, are the most mentioned among fans.

Filming for “The Fantastic 4” will begin in early 2024, then, the rest of what’s left of 2023, Marvel will be fully dedicated to finding the perfect casting for this group of superheroes. It is worth mentioning that the film will be released on February 14, 2025 and aims to be one of the major films of UCM.
