Well, we still have to wait as CEO of HBO Casey Bloys shared that the show most likely won’t return until the summer of 2024. Bloys also addressed the other Had spinoffs that are currently in development and those will take even longer to get off the ground. He explained:
“Remember you had House of the Dragon following Game of Thrones, we developed a lot of shows, did a pilot, developed a number of scripts and we got House of the Dragon. Doing it again will require the same effort. You have to develop a lot of things, try things. You never know what will work. So we’re currently doing that.
He went on to say that he is open to developing any number of Game of thrones Shows:
“I am not against any number of shows. There’s probably a natural limit to how many fans they want, but I’m open to anyone as long as we feel really good about the scripts and the outlook for a series.
Bloys also pointed out that the quality of the spin-offs will determine whether or not they get the green light:
“My philosophy is that a good script is the number one priority. I’m not doing this based on a desire to have one a year, two a year. I want to do it based on the scripts that we’re excited about.
Are you looking forward to the return of House of the Dragon in 2024? You are ready to see more game of Thrones spin-off show in development?
