Dead Pool actor Ryan Reynolds has signed on to star in and produce a new comedy for Paramount Pictures titled Group of boys. Plot details are under wraps, but Reynolds wrote the script with Jesse Andrews (Me & Earl & Dying Girl) from its original story. He will also produce for his company Maximum Effort, which has a first-run deal with the studio, alongside his frequent collaborator Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment.

Levy could direct, having already been set to re-team with Reynolds Deadpool 3, which will soon go into production. But he has not yet fully committed to serving in that capacity.
