Jon Favreau AND Dave Filoni helped save the Star Wars franchise with their own series and there are no plans that they are stopping anytime soon. Season 3 is coming next month and Favreau has already finished writing season 4. So what’s the end of this story? Well, at the moment there isn’t one.

During a recent interview on The Inside Total Film podcast, Favreau was asked when the series will end and he shared that he has no plans for an ending for The Mandalorian. He believes that a natural conclusion will come over time.

“I think the beauty of this is that it’s a central chapter in a much larger story, and even though we’re going to have resolution over time with these characters, I think… there’s an ending that we’re building that I have in mind. mind.

Favreau went on to express how much he likes to tell stories The Mandalorian universe, and says the character may be around for a while:

“I love that these stories go on and on, and so these characters could potentially be with us for a while, and I really love telling stories in their own voice, and I love the way the adventures play out, and I just can’t see the now doing much more”.

Hearing this makes me happy. It looks like fans will continue this journey with Mando and Grogu for years to come! So beautiful!

The upcoming third season sees the journey of Din Djarin (Peter Pascal) and Grogu continue as their adventure takes them to Mandalore, where Mando hopes to be “forgiven for his transgressions”. He also sees Mando move into a leadership position and Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) face the disappointment of not getting Darksaber back.

The Mandalorian’s journeys across the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has rejoined Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to remove the galaxy from its dark history. The Mandalorian will meet old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

Season 3’s directorial lineup includes returning directors Famuyiwa, Charles WeathersAND Bryce Dallas Howardalong with Star Wars newcomers Lee Isaac Chung (Minaries), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and director of photography on Black Panther Rachel Morrisons.
