Tom Holland describes what it was like to join Peter Parker’s fellow actors in SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME

Spider-Man: There’s no way back home it was such an amazing and epic movie to build for the fans. There had been many rumors and talks about how our current Peter Parker, Tom Holland, would be joined by at least one of his predecessors in the role, but it was quite another thing to see them appear on screen and help each other in such a unique way. The return of Tobey Maguire AND Andrew Garfield it was touching and emotional, and it made fans wonder if we’d see them return. They were interviewed regularly, with everyone asking how the experience was for them. Now we can hear what the experience has been like for Holland.

In the next Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home The Official Movie Special Bookthe behind-the-scenes chronicle of one of the greatest comic book movies of all time, Holland spoke about the first time he heard the plan for the film and explained what it was like making the films, saying:

“At first I didn’t believe it. [Director] Jon [Watts] he pitched the idea to me and I thought, ‘That’s never going to happen. There’s no way they can figure it out. They won’t agree to do it, it just won’t happen.’ And here we are! Then we had a great [first] day, where we all wore our suits and we all swapped stories about how you put them on, how you take them off, where the zippers are and all that kind of stuff. That was kind of crazy.

He went on to add:

“I must have seen that movie like five times. For me, it was just this bizarre improvisation that he did, which is so funny. I could talk about it for ages. There are aspects of [Maguire’s Peter and Garfield’s Peter] in my character, but for us it was just about making him as young and relatable and sweet and innocent as possible. Because what happens to him is so horrific, it means he’s able to deal with it on a much more personal level. I guess the idea for us was to make him as relatable as possible, so that he was every person’s superhero rather than some kind of superhero.

It’s nice to hear Holland’s point of view! He’s such a great Spider-Man and that movie will go down as one of the best superhero movies made. Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home The Official Movie Special Book will hit book stores on Wednesday, February 28. Check out the link above.
