Ariana Grande & The Weeknd Tease ‘Die For You’ Remix While Recording New Music: See

Ariana Grande AND Weekend fans can rejoice, as the pop music duo tease another collaboration via social media on Feb. 21. “I wrote and recorded a verse for my friend after a 14 hour day on set. That certain exception had to be made…” the 29-year-old hitmaker captioned her TikTok video. In the clip, Ariana can be seen vocalizing the track and tweaking the mix on her computer. While neither she nor the 33-year-old singer have confirmed what the song is, many fans are speculating that it’s The Weeknd’s 2016 song “Die for You,” given the short lyrics the singer sang.

Not only did the Grammy winner give fans a sneak peek of herself editing the song, but she can also be heard singing part of the song’s chorus. “You know what I’m thinking, look it in your eyes / You hate loving me, you hate when you cry,” she sang. After the blonde beauty shared the song from The Weeknd’s album, star boymany of her fans have flooded the comments with their reactions.

“DIE FOR YOU REMIX? ABSOLUTELY,” one fan wrote, while another chimed in: “Please give us Die for You (Ariana version).” Subsequently, the “Save Your Tears” artist re-shared Ariana’s video via her Instagram and she captioned it with a single teardrop emoji. Ariana gathered the feedback and added some moon and star emojis to share her excitement. Meanwhile, fans of The Weeknd were also excited about their latest collaboration. “No way.” wrote the official MTV network, while one fan quipped, “My life expectancy has increased by 10 years.”

As mentioned above, this isn’t the first time the musicians have worked together on a song, as they’ve worked together on a few hits. In 2014, Ariana and the Hollywood heartthrob teamed up for the song “Love me hard” from her 2014 album, My everything. And then they sang their 2020 song “off the table” together for their album, locations. That same year, Ariana and The Weeknd worked on their song “Save Your Tears” for their album, after hours.

Ariana is not only a Grammy-winning artist, but also The Weeknd, with a total of 13 Grammy nominations and four wins to her credit.
