A new trailer for the inspiring sports biopic has been released Fresh waterwhich follows the true story of Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, the first black player to sign an NBA contract. Everett Osborne he stars in the film as Nat, and is joined by an all-star cast that includes Jeremy Piven, Cary Elwes, Richard Dreyfuss, Eric Roberts, Kevin Pollac, Jim Cavizel, Mike StarAND Gary Clark Jr..

Here is the synopsis of the film:
Newcomer Everett Osborne stars in the film, playing Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, a future hall-of-famer who became one of the first black basketball players to play in the NBA. At age 27, Sweetwater signed with the New York Knicks and played in his first game on November 4, 1950. He was already an all-star athlete who, at the time, played for an all-black professional basketball team and during the off-season, he also played first base in Negro League Baseball.
Fresh water is written and directed by Martin Guigui (Changing hearts, Under the Dark, The Bronx bull), and will premiere in select US theaters on April 14, 2023. Check out the trailer for the film below and let us know what you think.
