There has been a lot of talk about the recently released horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, which sees the beloved characters of Pooh and Piglet go on a bloody killing spree. Some people like this concept, some people hate it, and some people threaten the director with death.

The director of the film is Rhys Frake Waterfield, and plans to expand the franchise into a twisted horror cinematic universe featuring beloved childhood characters. He already has a sequel in the works and is working on brutal horror versions of Bambi and Peter Pan.
Now, he has set his sights on another property…. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes, she was supposed to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles horror film. Speaking to Collider about this, she said:
“I’ve been really excited about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately because I think the story has a very horrific undertone anyway because it’s these half-human, half-turtles who live in the sewers who have a rat king following, and then they come out of the sewer with the weapons. [Laughs] It all starts to connect to me. So I’d like to do that. I’d like to have them like in an alley tearing people apart, feeding them to their rat king with pizza or something. I hope I can get the copyright, but I don’t know if I can.”
Yep, there’s no way he’s going to get the right to that franchise to make this movie! But the guy definitely has a vision of what he’s trying to build. It will be interesting to see how many films he can make out of this thing that he’s building. If people flock to theaters to watch them, he’ll be able to keep making them.
