Kevin Bacon is just waiting for the call for a TREMORS sequel

There are seven movies in total in the Tremors film franchise and a miniseries, but the only one that Kevin Bacon ever appeared was the 1990 original film, which is the best in the series. Yes, the sequels are silly and fun, but none of them have been able to capture the magic of that first film.

Over the years Bacon has shared his interest in returning for a Tremors sequel to reprise his role as Valentine McKee. Fans have been wanting to see him in that role for years, and in a recent Twitter post, she shared with her fans that he’s “just waiting for the call.”

Bacon previously said in an interview, “It was one of my films that I wanted to revisit that character. I’m not looking back at all. In fact, Tremors is the only film of mine that I’ve re-watched since it came out.”

Bacon came back for a Tremors TV series pilot for SyFy, but it didn’t end up being picked up, which is a shame. I think it would have been a great success. So now Bacon is back to waiting to see if anyone will ever call him to do a sequel. Speaking about the pilot he shot, Bacon said:

“We made an excellent pilot out of Albuquerque, recreated the city, had a really great cast, director and writer and to this day I still don’t understand why they didn’t want to go ahead with it. It’s a real head-scratcher for me. If i honestly thought the pilot was shit then i guess we didn’t fix it but it was amazing, and it’s really hard to strike a balance between funny and scary, as you know, that’s the low point Tremors was good at that , as well as Shaun of the Dead and Get Out. But yeah, it was for a series, not a TV movie.

I don’t know about you, but I’d love to meet Valentine and see what he’s up to after all these years!
