‘Hellboy’ confirms a reboot of the saga with Brian Taylor, the director of ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’

this new movie It will be a reboot of the “Hellboy” saga., a checkpoint for a franchise that lost its momentum as sequels hit theaters. Still, despite the story being a reboot, he’ll play as more of a comic book lover than he is. According to sources at Discussing Films, the new installment already has provisional title”Hellboy: The Crooked Man,” and will focus on the story of the comic of the same name by Joshua Dysart, Richard Corben and Mike Mignola, the character’s original creator.

“Hellboy: The Crooked Man” (or “Hellboy: The Twisted Man” in Spanish) takes the story to West Virginia in 1956. There, Azzael’s son will face Watkins, known as the Twisted Man, a demon sent by Satan to harvest souls. Among the usurped spirits is that of Tom, known to the half-demon. In “Hellboy: The Crooked Man” the particular superhero will fight for all those souls that have been taken away. Will he be able to complete the feat?

There is still plenty of time to know the end of the story. However, Millennium Media plans to begin filming in April of this yearalthough the film is still involved in a casting process that could hold surprises.

Neither Perlman nor Harbor Who will be Hellboy?

The new film has the task of restarting everything we know so far about Mignola’s character, will this also affect the cast? For now there is no official confirmation, however, everything seems to indicate it neither Ron Perlman nor David Harbor will change color to “hell red”. The most accepted theory is the discarding of these two interpreters, as according to the report this reboot seeks to move away from the direct deliveries of Guillermo del Toro and that of Marshall. This suggests that Santa Claus from “Silent Night” and Salvatore from “The Name of the Rose” were left without horns.

Knowing Taylor’s preferences, a Nicolas Cage in red with severed horns isn’t an entirely crazy option, however, as of today there is no confirmation of who will star this new era of ‘Hellboy’. What we can confirm is that from eCartelera we will be very attentive to any news of the return of the scarlet demon.
