Ever since Mando and Grogu met at the end of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, it was clear that ‘The Mandalorian’ season 3 was going to be loaded with adorable moments, so this clip released from the series isn’t surprising, but it does threaten to kill each other with love Baby Yoda steals all the limelight in a scene led by Pedro Pascal and Carl Weatherstandem that resumes their characters in a moment full of uncertainty about the future of the Mandalorian.

Greef Karga (Weathers) wants dad and the baby to settle on Nevarro, but Mando is focused on his mission: to reclaim the Mandalorian job he lost by showing his face to Grogu at the end of the second season. The short preview therefore serves as a summary, making it very clear where we stand in terms of the adventures of the main duo. “It’s complicated”says the character played by Pascal almost as a warning of what will happen in a season 3 that launches its first episode on March 1. Karga insists that while Mando for the people of him is a “renegade” In Nevarro he may be a landowner, but Papá Din’s fate takes other paths.
The official synopsis insists: “In this third season, the journeys of the Mandalorian across the galaxy of ‘Star Wars’ continue. Din Djarin, once a lonely bounty hunter, has reunited with Grogu”, with whom he will continue to have adventures. But in the next episodes not only will the paternal-filial dynamics of the protagonists be explored, but the political moment Mandalore is in will be exploredhome planet of Din, “as the New Republic fights to turn the galaxy from its dark history”.
This was explained by Jon Favreau, co-creator of the series with Dave Filoni which is why they decided Season 3 would start with the core relationship already restoredafter a period of separation we live in the television drama dedicated to the iconic bounty hunter, Boba Fett. “Could not reset directly”says Favreau in statements to Empire. “It will be interesting to see how this plays out for people who may not have seen ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ [porque alli descubrimos] what Mando was like without Baby Yoda and we saw what Grogu was like without the Mandalorian and neither of them fared too well on their own. AS bringing them together in said series was a great plot point that allows us to go back to season 3 while keeping the foundational relationship intact.”.
a unique character
In the same interview, Favreau adds this Grogu’s situation is so exceptional that it is full of possibilities. We are facing a potential Jedi who began his training at the hands of one of the most famous teachers in the galaxy, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), but she ended up choosing her emotional connection to a Mandalorian, to what that means.
“You have this interesting character who has some Jedi training, abilities born from his connection to the Force, but also joins the Mandalorian culture. It’s something that takes a lot but also offers a lot. Historically, the Mandalorians developed all those tools , armor, and weapons to counter the abilities Jedi develop with the Force. as narrator, [la mezcla de ambas cosas] offers a great opportunity”.
* “The Mandalorian” premieres a new episode of its third season every Wednesday starting March 1 on Disney+.
