A teaser trailer for the CIA thriller film has been released Kandaharhero Gerard Butler (300, The fall of the Gods, Airplane). He is joined in the film by Navid Negaban, Ali Fazal, Travis FimmelAND Elnaaz Norouzi. The film was directed by Ric Roman Waughwhich he has previously worked with Butler on Angel has fallen AND Greenland. The screenplay is written by Mitchell LaFortune in his debut as a screenwriter.
Here is the synopsis:
Tom Harris (Butler), an undercover CIA operative, is stranded in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all the while avoiding elite enemy forces and the foreign spies tasked with hunting them.
It feels like a solid action flick, right in Butler’s wheelhouse. Check out the teaser below and see Kandahar in theaters May 26.
