EXCLUSIVE: Poorna Jagannathan (I never have, Jacob defends) has joined the cast of Apple Original Films’ self-titled thriller, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, from writer, producer and director Jon Watts.
The thriller comes from Apple Studios and follows two lone wolves who have the same job. The previously announced cast also includes Austin Abrams and Amy Ryan.
Clooney is producing with Grant Heslov through Smokehouse Pictures. Pitts Plan B Entertainment and Dianne McGunigle also serve as producers.
Jagannathan is gearing up for the release of the fourth and final season of Netflix’s coming-of-age series. I never have. From the beginning of the show, the actress played the character of Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar, a dermatologist and devoted mother of the series’ protagonist, Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), is brought to life.
Jagannathan is also known for her portrayal of Safar Khan in the HBO drama miniseries The night of. Other credits include the Apple TV+ series Jacob defendsthat of Netflix MessiahHBO’s Big Little Liesand that of Hulu ramy.
