The Challenge: Tori & Devin Reveal Why They Split The Money, The Hardest Part Of The Finale & More (Exclusive)

treat bulls AND Devin Walker they are officially Challenge champions after winning The challenge: ride or die. During the third part of the finale, Tori and Devin won Johnny “Banana” Devenanzio AND tata gonzálezwhich came in second place, as well as wise jordan AND Anesa Ferreira, which came in third place. Tori and Devin dominated most of the 100 hour finale. However, his big advantages during most of the competition didn’t matter, as the clock was reset to zero in every segment of the race.

“It was a double-edged sword,” Devin admitted. hollywood life EXCLUSIVELY. “Depending on your way of thinking, you might be a little angry that you won one day for three hours, but the next day you’ll only have a 90-second lead. That is if you choose to be a pessimist. But Tori and I are glass-half-full people. It was a relief for me to know that if an event occurs that is not in our wheelhouse, we will not be out of the race. So it was just that security, coupled with mastery of all checkpoints. I think we won 11 out of 12. I was like, you know what, don’t even give us an edge! Do you want us to beat them in everything? Right thing! So it was annoying for 30 seconds until I remembered we were never out of the race so that was a huge plus.

On how the final compares to others they have played in the past: (DEVIN) – I think it was the hardest thing I’ve ever been a part of. It was definitely the most mentally taxing. The first day was very difficult. We saw Nany hurt her knee, olive [Kasier] legitimately almost killed, Aneesa sprains her ankle. That’s all in the first 18 hours of this final. It was too much. One of the things we always come back to as a duo is, in moments of panic and fatigue, paying attention to detail. Keep your mind on the race. We were able to do that.

On the hardest part of the ending: (TORI) – For me it was the mental stress of what is to come. We have been tested. We know our bodies can do it and we know we can. But what made this really difficult in a 100 hour finale, and what, I think, isn’t accurately represented on TV, is that the pause was very, ‘What’s next? How will I do it?’ There is a lot of anxiety, stress and pressure. So overcoming it when you sweat in your tent after not showering every night has been as difficult as physically competing, at least for me.

(DEVIN) – This is a very good point. Anticipating the next chapter is almost as difficult, or honestly more difficult, many times, as what the next chapter turns out to be. I want people to think about this in terms of their own work. If your boss came to you and he said, “Your final review is on its way and you need to be ready AT ANY TIME.” I will literally knock on your door no matter where you are, and you will have to do it right there.’ So one of the things we’re dealing with is this uncertainty and always having to be ON. He is literally alone tj [Lavin] drive around in an off-road vehicle and say: ‘Put your shoes on, let’s go now. Indeed it is. You have to be prepared at all times and this is very difficult. Also, drinking the innards of the fish wasn’t fun.

On what we didn’t see in the finale: (TORI) – The first day was very demanding. We probably did a half marathon. After that, I don’t even know how much we ended up earning in total. Basically you would be doing something all day. They actually cut two checkpoints which were very interesting. You had to balance on a frame for a long time and one where you had to hold a pad for a long time.

At the break, when we got to camp, we knew we were going to sleep, but we woke up in the morning because there were these sneaky parakeets that started screeching at 6am. the stock cars would arrive an hour later, and then the anxiety would really kick in. Sometimes we had to sit there for an extra few hours and other times they kept us up. It really was everywhere.

Why they split the money with the other 3 final teams: (TORI) – We really bet on our friendships during the game. We played this game a lot and met so many people that it took us a long way. Ultimately, this led to us splitting the money in the end. You won’t be successful if you don’t work with people.

Many people don’t realize that the final removal took 5-6 hours. When we got to the prison room, Nany and Bananas were still outside working on their puzzle and we realized we were at least an hour ahead of them. There was no way to really reach them. So in that room, it’s affecting me. I’m like… this is going to happen. I look at Devin and think, ‘So shall we split the money?’ and he says ‘This is not the time!’ So we closed it. But then, two seconds after he pulled the lever, we hugged and clapped, that was the next conversation. There is a sense of gratitude for beating so many people who have had a fantastic season. They are incredible people and we had to win in front of them. Imagine the whole bus ride back if we were the only ones in a good mood? We made $50,000 last season because kaycee [Clark] AND Connecticut [Tamburello] split it, we know how it went. It was great. So why not move on? Devin and I agree equally.

(DEIVN) – I also want to add that I asked TJ if he could give Johnny’s $38,000 to Will be [Rice] and he told me no!

On the importance of his political game: (DEVIN) – There is no way you can win this game by yourself. Some people think they can and don’t appreciate the importance of relationships and honesty. I can assure everyone that I played this game with all my focus on keeping them in the game unless it was against each other and I had to make a strategic move based on that. Or if it was me or them. That’s how we always play the two of us. We managed to stay out of elimination, not because we lied or did anything like that, but because we aligned ourselves with the best duos. When you look at the list of duos that won the daily challenges, they were all top duos. Colleagues who didn’t win, we didn’t have to worry if we didn’t work with them. We lined up as a strong team with the other strong teams who were also our friends because we had already played with them.

On whether they will return after the win: (TORI) – Come on… let’s see. I mean… probably… but we’ll see.

(DEVIN) – I’m not even going to flex, now only 7 left before I’m the GOAT! I’m just putting logs on this thing! In all seriousness though, it’s only going to be a tough decision because it’s something I’ve wanted for so long and it really does complete one piece of my puzzle. This is also out of our control, we don’t do the casting. But if I get the chance to play again, I’ll probably play again and probably win again.
