Many look for totally different things in detective and mystery series, from the suspense of a story full of intrigue, to mind-boggling twists. And if you are also one of the people who likes this kind of strong emotions, you must write the headlines in the list below, which you can marathon about that may make you feel bad.

To start with the best crime series, we will go forward in time to review some of the more recent ones. Like ‘Copenhagen Cowboy’, the new title from director Nicolas Winding Refn, author of ‘Drive’ or ‘The Neon Demon’. It is a story where Miu, a woman, infiltrates the criminal underworld. Under the banner of heaven

For true crime fans, we have one of the the best crime series based on true events. It is ‘Under the banner of heaven’, starring Andrew Garfield, a thriller that tells the story of the Lafferty case, in which a double homicide in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints puts the religion of a young detective. Available on Star+.

Betrayal

With just one season, Charlie Cox’s return to Netflix with ‘Betrayal’ marked one best crime thriller series 2022. It’s a 5-chapter story where an MI6 officer begins the change in his career, when a Russian spy enters his life, and forces him to question everything he’s been through in recent years.

black bird

Although it went unnoticed by most of the audience in 2022, ‘Black Bird’ was one of the best series of that year. Taron Egerton and Ray Liotta crafted the true story of Jimmy Keene, a dangerous drug dealer who is offered his freedom in exchange for his help in apprehending a serial killer, who has locked up several people. Available on Apple TV+.

As if it were a direct sequel to “The Silence of the Lambs”, we have “Clarice”, a 13-episode crime thriller in which Rebecca Breeds once again plays Officer Clarice Starling, who returns to her job to continue investigating and give hunting down some of Washington’s most feared serial killers and sexual predators. Available on Amazon Prime Video.

And finally, a classic from the Netflix catalog, ‘Ozark’, the 4-season detective story with Jason Bateman alongside Laura Linney and Julia Garner. It is the story of a family who have just arrived in a new city, only to get involved in some of the shadiest deals in the city, involving drug trafficking.
