Sackhoff has been playing this character ever since she was first introduced in Star Wars franchise in 2012 into The Clone Wars animated series. He has a strong bond with the character and it’s so cool that he now gets to play the live-action version of the character.

Bo-Katan will have a much bigger role in the upcoming third season of The Mandalorianand in a recent interview, Sackhoff talked about his bond with the character:

“I’ve been living in this woman’s skin for a long time now. One of the things that Jon Favreau and I focus on where he is at the moment, what enlivens his experience. Jon e Rick Famuyiwaevery single day, it sends back to me, which is a crazy experience, to have these teachers ask me how I feel.

“Respect the craft and the years it took me. I really know her – her pain is my pain. When she experiences something, I really feel it.

There are five different women wearing the Bo-Katan armor during the filming of the third season, the rest includes the stunt team. But Sackhoff was still able to pull off some awesome stunts during filming. She said:

“If one person has a better skill set than the other, well, that person has to wear the suit that day. That said, I have a wicked slip in my knee. I’ve been practicing knee pads in my mom’s kitchen with dish rags since I was five, so when that knee pad arrives, you’ll know: It’s me. There are holes in my suit because I’ve had to do this so many times. I came home with so many bruises on my knees. But I love it. If I came home with bruises, it was a good day!

This next chapter in the story also sees Mando (Peter Pascal) moving into a leadership position, and Bo-Katan is facing the disappointment of not taking back the Darksaber.

The Mandalorian’s journeys across the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has rejoined Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to remove the galaxy from its dark history. The Mandalorian will meet old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

Pascal said in a previous interview: “Three is even better than the previous one.” Sackhoff also described the upcoming episodes as “dark”. Giancarlo Esposito, who plays the evil Moff Gideon. He added that the ladder is “bigger than ever … and it’s just an expansion, in many ways, of last season. It’s a season that has big ideas, big teases, and great advice for the future.”

The Mandalorian The third season will premiere on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
