Working on Marvel movies must be such a fun and exciting experience. There are some brilliant minds making those movies and some amazing stars playing superheroes. But Ant man star Paul Rudd has probably the coolest story of an on-set encounter that is sure to make any Marvel fan jealous.

In a recent video interview with GQ Magazine (via CB), Rudd talked about meeting none other than Marvel comic book creator, the late, great Stan Lee:
“One of the most amazing experiences I’ve had working on the Marvel movies was meeting Stan Lee. And one of the things he told me was how happy he was that they were making Ant-Man as a movie. You heard in the comics, it was very difficult really value scale. If you’re drawing Ant-Man, you can’t really draw other things at the right scale. So audiences would finally see Ant-Man the way they’ve always imagined Ant-Man.”
It’s great to think that Lee himself was thrilled to see his vision realized on the big screen in a way he’d always envisioned but was never able to fully translate to the page. I’m so happy that he was able to see the character on screen and that we got cameos from Lee in so many of those early Marvel movies. He is a legend whose work lives on massively.
