THE BACKROOMS 17-year-old Kane Parsons’ Creepypasta series is getting a movie with James Wan and Shawn Levy

A24 will produce a film adaptation of the popular YouTube horror series creepypasta The Backroomsand will be directed by the mastermind behind the madness, 17 years old Kane Parsons. This creepypasta series captivated audiences and A24 obviously saw its cinematic potential.

The film will be produced by none other than the king of horror himself, James Wannext to Shawn Levi! You know there’s a good chance the movie is a wild ride when these two blockbuster producers are involved.

According to IndieWire, the film will shoot during Parsons’ summer break, with a script by Robert Patino, who is also an executive producer on the project.
