Before his return in the acclaimed ‘The Whale’, Brendan Fraser would have his long-awaited return to the big screen with ‘Batgirl’, a film that would be released directly on HBO Max, until Warner Bros decided to cancel it, about that was finished. Now the actor who allegedly brought the villain to life, says the story was “really good,” and he’s still hurt by the cancellation.

In a recent speech for the Howard Stern show, Brendan Fraser denied it ‘Bad girl’ it was a bad movieOn the contrary, he said it was a very good film, and that he had a lot of fun shooting the scenes that will never come to light. The actor would bring to life Firefly, the villain that Leslie Grace would face in her crusade against crime in Gotham City.

Even though the film was nearing completion before its HBO release was canceled, the actor Brendan Fraser says he could never see ‘Bad girl’ in his test screenings: “I didn’t. I have friends, colleagues and colleagues who have seen it. Everyone is saying really good things about it.”

That’s not all, why Brendan Fraser said Gotham City from “Batgirl” was wonderful, and one of the best that has been depicted on the screen. “Batgirl” was completely destroyed

Many rumors rang about the cancellation of “Batgirl” on HBO Max, but a recent report assures that it was the arrival of David Zaslav as president of Warner Bros. Discovery that started the grave for the film starring Leslie Grace and Michael Keaton. The executive intended to save the company more than $3 billion, so he began cutting projects.

The most famous of all was ‘Batgirl’, a film practically finished, only a few details were missing, but it represented a source of savings for the company. And it is, if they can prove to the IRS that the tape was never going to be released in any way, they would have a significant tax break, which would offset the cancellation, even if they did release the tape and it was a flop.

Of course, to do that, Zaslav had to destroy the film completely. The executive personally deleted all of the “Batgirl” footage, so that it could not be recovered in any way. Even when the directors banded together to do what they could and save their jobs, it was already too late.
