There seems to be a chance we might not have seen the last one Patrick Stewart as Professor X in the MCU. The actor played Xavier for years and after Logano that was to be the last we saw of him in the role, which he ended up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswhere her character was brutally killed by the Scarlet Witch.
Well, there seems to be a possibility that he will reprise his role in Deadpool 3, Wolverine 10, Deadpool and Wolverine, Wolverine and Deadpoolor whatever you want to call it. Ryan Reynolds AND Hugh Jackman they had a lot of fun messing around with the film’s title, but until the title is officially announced, we’ll just call it Deadpool 3.
The film is in full development at the moment, and in a recent interview with CB, Stewart was asked if the actor would be returning for a Marvel adventure and this was his replay: “I was told to wait. Not I know more then, honest.”
Being told to “standby” is a big deal as it means they are at least considering bringing him back as Professor X! There are certainly a lot of jokes to be made about Stewart’s version of the character, especially with what goes on in the Doctor Strange sequel.
It would also be fun to see Hugh Jackman reunite with Stewart for the first time since Logan. Then, of course, throw Deadpool into the mix and things get ridiculously crazy, which is what fans have come to expect.
Deadpool 3 is directed by Shawn Leviwho had previously made fun of the film’s violence and vulgarity, saying, “We’re writing, rewriting, developing, preparing Dead Pool every day now. It’s so much fun to laugh every day. It’s so delightful to listen to, write and invent these scenes where people speak badly. And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it really is a Dead Pool movie.”
Also, Wolverine and Deadpool won’t get along in the movie. Wolverine hates Deadpool and Jackman has spoken about this before, saying, “How do I rate him? Ten is very close, zero is reality, we are zero, we are opposites, we hate each other. I’m just talking from my point of view, [Logan’s] frustrated with him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, she can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to be punching him in the head a lot.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled for November 8, 2024.
