Amazon Prime Video will make an animated series based on one of the most acclaimed horror comics

The creator of the original comic shared some emotional words about the new Amazon series: “I have been intimately involved with this animated series from the very beginning, and I can honestly say that I love this series as much as the comic, if not more. Animation brings Jock’s incredible art to life, and the episodic format expands the world of ‘Wytches,’ taking the characters and mythology to new and terrifying places.

As for the story, Snyder says the story of ‘Wytches’ is about “monsters that live beneath the surface of things, both literally and figuratively.” The storyline follows the Rook family, who arrive at a new home after suffering a tragic accident. There, the 17-year-old boy will gradually discover the secrets that the small town hides.
