On May 19 “Fast & Furious 10” arrives in theaters, the premiere of which presupposes something that seemed unthinkable a few years ago: the beginning of the end of the saga. This new film is expected to be the penultimate in the series, the first part of a closure that culminated in “Fast & Furious 11”. Warming up the engines for the premiere and the upcoming trailer, here we go New stills from the film courtesy of Empire:

The first image could only be Vin Diesel in the role of Toretto, the actor and the most legendary character of Fast & Furious. Besides, it is perfectly matched to his iconic black Dodge Charger that so few taillights have seen. In this installment, the speedy family is threatened by the notorious Cypher (Charlize Theron), who plans to take the challenge to a new level with the addition of villain Dante, played by Jason Momoa (‘Aquaman’), to his side. Of course, we also get a look at this character, who according to ‘Fast & Furious 10’ director Louis Leterrier, is “an incredible character, 1000% Momoa”.

Another of the new additions to the Fast saga is Brie Larson (“Captain Marvel”), who plays Tess. Unlike Momoa, Larson comes to the franchise to join Toretto and avoid all possible evil. However, as we have already seen during some episodes of the saga, the line between good and evil is blurred and the change of sides is in the order of the table. Leterrier explains that this film is no exception: “People will have to choose sides. Alliances will have to be made. Good will become bad, bad will become good.” As if it wasn’t enough to see the disagreements between characters we considered friends, the director of ‘Fast and Furious 10’ tells us that we are preparing to say goodbye: “It’s coming to an end and it’s a race to the finish line. There will be tremendous losses.”

practical effects
When Leterrier joined the production of ‘Fast and Furious 10’ following the departure of Justin Lin, the director was clear that he wanted to make his mark on the saga: “I’m more hands-on than other directors, I brought (the saga) back to Earth. We’re looking for real stunts, which we’re enhancing with visual effects. We’ve shot in Los Angeles, London, Rio and Portugal, we’ve blown up Hummers that they flew around Rome. There will be some iconic images in this installment. You’ll see that as long as Dom Toretto is behind the wheel of a car, there’s nothing he can’t do.”
We hope Dom can do everything he sets his mind to and more, because some dangers await him in “Fast and Furious 10”: “When you’ve fought so hard to keep your faith and protect your family and literally change the world, like Dom Toretto did, there’s a price to pay. His enemies are coming for him. There are a lot of enemies coming for him.”says Lerrier.
