‘Holland, Michigan’: ‘Belfast’s Jude Hill Joins Prime Video Thriller

EXCLUSIVE: Belfast Breakout Jude Hill came on board for a role Holland, Michiganthe Hitchcock thriller directed for Prime Video Fresh Helmer Mimi Cave. He will star in an undisclosed role alongside Nicole Kidman, Gael García Bernal and Matthew Macfadyen, whose cast has already been announced.

Based on the screenplay by 2013 Blacklister Andrew Sodroski, the film explores the mysteries lurking beneath a Midwestern town. Producers include Kidman and Per Saari for Blossom Films, Peter Dealbert of Pacific View Management & Productions and Kate Churchill of Churchill Films. Holland, Michigan is streamed in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

Hill is best known for playing the lead role of Buddy in Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical Focus Features drama. Belfast – a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the riots in Ireland in the 1960s. In the Oscar- and BAFTA-winning film, the young actor starred alongside Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciaran Hinds and Caitriona Balfe. His performance was recognized over the course of the 2021-22 awards season with 18 nominations and seven wins, with Hill notably receiving the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Young Actor.

Hill has recently continued to work with Branagh A Ghost Tour in Venice, the third installment in his acclaimed Agatha Christie franchise for 20th Century Studios. In the film, out on September 15, he shares the screen with Branagh, Tina Fey, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Dornan and Kelly Reilly.
