An action drama series about bounty hunters is in the works on Amazon with Joe Barton (Giri/Haji, The Lazarus Project) as creator and writer, e Michael Bay (The rock, Transformers) direction and production. The project centers on an American bounty hunter working south of the border who finds himself in a desperate fight for survival when the man he’s pursuing lands them both in trouble with the Mexican cartel.

Bay said of the project’s origins:
“I was inspired about 5 years ago in Costa Rica, with a former US federal agent, surfing every day, living the good life. Support his fun and laid-back lifestyle in Costa Rica by tracking down “Bad Gringos” hiding out in South America.
Barton is an executive producer on the series with Bay and Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes, Range Media Partners and Wise Entertainment.
Barton said of the collaboration with Bay and Amazon:
“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Michael Bay and Amazon to bring this exciting, action-packed show to the screen.”
