Some exciting news has just arrived for Disney fans! The Mouse House is diving into its franchise hoard and needs more sequels! Iger said, “Today I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises, History of the toy, FrozenAND Zootopia. we will have more to share about these productions soon. but this is a great example of how we are leaning on our unrivaled brands and franchises.”
I know this shouldn’t come as a huge surprise given that all three of these franchises have been huge hits for Disney at the box office, with each film nominated for an Academy Award and each franchise grossing over a billion dollars.
After Disney’s latest animated film Strange World bombed at the box office, it makes sense that Disney will stick to familiar franchises that work. So, fans will be able to enjoy more wild adventures, heartwarming moments and spending time with their favorite characters.
