Sometimes Hollywood actors and actresses audition for a role that someone else eventually gets, but then life leads them to take on another role in a very similar story. So it happened Dominique Thorne who years ago made a casting to give life to Shuri, T’Challa’s sister in ‘Black Panther’ and the recording with Chadwick Boseman went viral on social media.

Interestingly, before being Riri Williams aka Iron Heart like in Marvel comics, actress Dominique Thorne auditioned along with Chadwick Bosemann to bring to life Shuri, T’Challa’s sister, a role that could have made her the new Black Panther in 2022, but ultimately went to the actress Letita Wright.

Iron Heart will return to Marvel this 2023
