Amazon Studios’ Bosch the franchise is taking things to the next level with not one, but TWO crime dramas inspired by the best-selling author’s fantastic novels Michael Connelli! I’m a big fan of the original Bosch series, and the new show, Bosch: Legacy, was just as good. I like these characters, so I’m pretty excited about these next two spin-offs coming!

First, we have the Untitled J. Edgar Project. Harry Bosch’s former partner, Detective Jerry Edgar, will embark on an undercover FBI mission in the bustling city of Little Haiti, Miami. Get ready for a solid mix of glitz and grit as Jerry balances his new life with the seedy underworld of the city, all while being haunted by his own mysterious past. It was also reported that Jamie Hector, who starred in the original Bosch series, is in talks to reprise his role in this exciting offshoot.

Next, we have the Untitled Renée Ballard. Detective Renee Ballard is taking the LAPD by storm as she takes the reins of the new cold case division. This no-nonsense detective is on a mission to bring credibility to the department and justice to the community. Renee learned from the best, none other than Harry Bosch himself, and is now doing things her own way, solving cases with unconventional methods as she navigates the challenges of being a rising woman in the LAPD.

It has not yet been determined on which Amazon platform these new shows will be featured, but with Bosch: Legacy receiving an early season 2 renewal before its first episode even drops, it’s clear the Bosch universe is here to stay. Season 2 will premiere this fall on Freevee.

With the creative minds of Michael Connelly, Larry Andries, Michael Alaimo, Kendall SherwoodAND Eric Overmyerand more behind the franchise as executive producers, we expect nothing but greatness from these upcoming spinoffs!
