According to information from Deadline, A24 will be handling an adaptation of ‘The Backrooms’.’, a horror series that has gone viral on YouTube. This narrative talks about creepypasta, a term that refers to short fictional horror stories that are written in photos, blogs or videos on the Internet, as if they were modern urban legends, and that some of them have been made extremely viral, such as the case of Slenderman or Jeff the killer.
But this adaptation is specifically from ‘The Backrooms’ short horror film in “found footagewhich became a viral hit. This was directed by Kane Parsons, a director and special effects artist who gained a lot of popularity for a series of videos on this subject of giant, eerie rooms that look like something out of our reality, but with something creepy.

The studio behind such horror jewels as ‘Hereditary’, ‘Midsommar’, ‘The Witch’, ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies’, ‘The Lighthouse’, ‘Pearl’ and many more, now has another idea in the genre which, just at least, seems like a pretty original premise. Parsons is expected to start his summer holidays to record and start production on “The Backroooms”.
