‘Loki’ teases an unexpected return that would complicate things for its second season

We’ve known for a long time that ‘Loki’ would be back with a second season but now the anticipated content he has released Disney+ hits all those tremendous questions that season 1 closed with and this will undoubtedly be the backbone of his second part.

‘Loki’ teases an unexpected return that would complicate things for its second season

The return of Tom Hiddleston (Loki) has already been confirmed accompanied by Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie) and Owen Wilson (Mobius), what is not yet known is who will be the new big addition to the series, although it is said that the character who will play Rafael Casal would be one of the most important. Now in the new announcement of the aforementioned platform, Loki can be seen stabbing a mural with an image of the three Guardians of Time, and simultaneously, in the lower right corner of the plane, the decapitated head of one of the puppets can be glimpsed.

The image is surprising because at the end of the first season Sylvie, after discovering with Loki that the Guardians of Time were nothing more than a smoke screen behind which He Who Remains was hiding, kills him causing the definitive collapse of the Sacred Time Line . Then Loki appears in what is understood to be an alternate reality to the one he had inhabited up to that point, a timeline where Mobius doesn’t know him and the Time Variation Agency worships one of Kang’s variants, be it the Conqueror or the One Who Remains. So, it’s surprising to see how Loki will once again take up the cover represented by the Guardians of Time, perhaps? trying to make the Mobius of that timeline figure out who is really pulling the strings? In the comics, the Guardians of Time have been planned out quite differently, so we could be looking at a new introduction of these figures.

In the summer we would leave the doubts with the premiere of season 2 on Disney +, episodes that come hand in hand with an important novelty. This time the writing was in charge of a group of writers led by Eric Martin. As far as management goes, they have been Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (“Moon Knight”), who took office.

Michael Waldron, writer of the first season of ‘Loki’ spoke about the new directors saying that: “Benson and Moorhead, they’re fantastic. They’re brilliant in their own right. I think they’re going to go in and do what everyone in this project does, which is elevate it.. So they’re going to take what was great and adjust it with their wonderful instincts, and hopefully do something even better.”.

The absence of Kate Herron

Benson Y Moorhead replace Kate Herron, director of the first season of ‘Loki’ which he decided to leave the department to focus on other projects. In an interview you have already indicated that: “I’ve been on the show for about three years total. I feel like I’ve already given everything I can give it. It’s like when you tell stories around a campfire, where each director comes in and contributes his or her point of view and perspective. I felt that I already gave a lot to this. I was like ‘you know what, I feel like this was my effort for Loki.’ I think having someone new with fresh air is what will make for a good season.”.
