THE FLASH Director Andy Muschietti will return to direct other DC Studios film projects

Head of DC Studios James Gunn he clarified that he is a huge fan of the director Andy Muschietti’S The flash movie. He’s previously said it’s “probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.” That being the case, it should come as no surprise that Gunn wants to continue working with Muschietti on future DC film projects.

Gunn explained, “What we’ve done, we’re very close to Andy and Barbara, the director and producer. And he’s one of the guys that’s going to do other stuff for us. And he just did something really spectacular with that movie.”

Peter Safran he also revealed that he and Gunn had some input The flash, but they haven’t done or added anything that would create this new DC Cinematic Universe that they’re building. He said, “We definitely had input on it, but there’s nothing we had to do to create our universe.”

As we all know, the film will open up the DC multiverse and the director previously teased that “everything you’ve seen exists.” The flash will see Barry Allen “break the bonds of physics to crash into various parallel dimensions, where he will meet slightly different versions of the classic DC heroes”.

With The flash being such an impressive film for Gunn, there’s a chance they’ll want to keep The Flash in their plans, and that could very well land Ezra Miller in the role. But that won’t be decided at this time as Miller is in the process of getting the help he needs after his erratic behavior.

Regardless, Muschietti is a talented filmmaker who’s made some amazing movies, and it’s nice to know he’ll be helming more DC projects in the future.

Miller will be joined by Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Keaton like Batman, e Sasha Calle as Supergirl, along with several other cast members from the DC universe. The flash will be released on June 23, 2023.
