MGM+ has released an exciting trailer for an upcoming British spy series titled A spy among friends. The series is the protagonist Damian Lewis (Billions) AND Guy Perce (Iron man 3), and tells “the epic true story of Kim Philby, the most infamous spy of the Cold War, from the ‘master storyteller’ and author of Prisoners of the Castle.”

It seems that this series tells a compelling story. I like watching spy thrillers and this looks like it’s going to be good! The British miniseries also stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Adrian Edmondson, Stephen Kunk, Nicholas RoweAND Anastasia Hille.
Based on the best-selling book written by Ben Macintyre, “the six-episode series dramatizes the true story of Nicholas Elliott and Kim Philby, two British spies and lifelong friends. Philby was the most famous British defector and Soviet double agent in history. This is a story of intimate duplicity, loyalty, trust and betrayal. Philby’s deeply personal treachery, discovered at the height of the Cold War, led to the gutting of British and American intelligence.
A spy among friends was created by the writer Alessandro Cari (Lie to Me, Homeland, Legends, Taken) and episodes of the show were directed by Nick Murphy (The Last Kingdom, A Christmas Carol, The Awakening). A Spy Among Friends will be released on MGM+ starting March 12, 2023.
