Actor George R. Robertson died on Jan. 29 at the age of 89 in a Torono hospital, his family confirmed.. The Canadian has had a long career in front of the cameras, but will be remembered for his role in the ‘Crazy Police Academy’ saga.

Born in Brampton, Ontario, George R. Robertson began his acting career in the late 1960s, both on stage and in film and television. We can see some of her early work in ‘Airport’, ‘Norma Rae’ or the series “FBI” and “Deadly game”.
Police Chief Hurst
In 1984 he first played Police Chief Hurst in “Police Academy Crazy”, the successful comedy in which he would share a cast with Steve Guttenberg, Bubba Smith, Kim Cattrall, Michael Winslow or Debralee Scott, and which gave birth to six other sequels. Robertson appeared as Hurst in all but the last, ‘Police Academy: Mission to Moscow’.
In addition to his best known role, he has also been seen in ‘JFK (Cold Case)’, ‘Random on Wheels’, ‘Betrayal at the Pentagon’, ’11-S: The Beginning’ as Vice President Dick Cheney , and in ‘Stay with me’. His latest works were in the television films ‘Crossfire’ and ‘Cradle to Grave’ in 2016 and 2017 respectively. The Gemini Awards, Canada’s Emmys, awarded him an award in 2004 for his humanitarian work.
