Two-time Academy Award-winning actress Emma Thompson (Current love, Harry Potter, Matilda) has signed on to star in the upcoming action thriller titled The Fisherwomanby the director Brian Kirk (Luther, game of Thrones, 21 Bridges). The screenplay was written by Nicholas Jacobson-Larson and Dalton Leeb, who have just been tapped to write the Hot Wheels movie for Warner Bros and Bad Robot. The duo is also currently working The fall for Amblin and Blackmaled Productions.

In the film, Thompson will play a widowed fisherman who, trapped in a Minnesota blizzard, interrupts the kidnapping of a teenage girl and soon discovers that he is the young victim’s only hope.
Sounds like an interesting premise. Thompson is a fantastic actress, so I’m sure she will give another great performance in this film. The Fisherwoman it is currently in pre-production.
