Stranger things it’s the most-watched streaming series of all time, according to the Nielsen ratings system, and that’s no surprise. Ever since the first season dropped in 2016, viewers could tell that this was a special show that we would die hard for until the very end. That end is near, with season 5 on the horizon, and one of the show’s stars has confirmed when filming will begin.
In a recent Instagram Live, actor Noah Schnappwho plays Will Byers on the series, was asked by a fan if his University of Pennsylvania school schedule would conflict with filming the fifth and final season of Stranger things. He replied that there would be no crossover, as they both finish school and start production on season five in May this year.
The final season isn’t expected to air on Netflix until 2024. We don’t know much yet about how the story will wrap up, but Schnapp previously said:
“I can just tell you that I’m very, very excited for what’s to come. I think they’ve done a great job with the character of Will this season, and they’ve tackled everything they need to beautifully. The way they closed the show it’s just perfect — the story started with Will and will end with Will.”
Seasons 1-4 are available to binge on Netflix, and we’ll let you know as soon as Season 5 gets a release date.
