‘The Challenge’: A brutal injury sends 1 team home on the first day of the final

The final 100 hour challenge began in this episode, with Olivia and Horacio being the only rookie team left in the competition. They were competing against three veteran teams: Johnny Bananas/Nany Gonzalez, Jordan Wiseley/Aneesa Ferreira AND Tori Deal/Devin Walker. After an incredible first season, Olivia and Horacio were confident in their abilities to take on the Vets in the finals.

Unfortunately, the season was cut short when Olivia suffered a brutal injury 24 hours into the challenge. That day, Olivia injured her finger while she was throwing footballs in one stage of the competition. However, she managed to bandage him so he could continue fighting. Olivia made it clear that she wasn’t giving up and continued to participate in the final challenge while the medical staff inspected her finger.

However, later that day, a second injury ruled Olivia out of the game for good. She and Horacio had to hit four targets with golf balls using a slingshot. Olivia had trouble with the contraption due to her injured finger and one of her golf balls ended up bouncing off her face. Her blood began to drip from her nose as she held it in her hands. “I just broke my nose,” she told Horacio, shocked.

A doctor immediately came over to assess the situation further and Olivia was in tears. “This is seriously ruining my life right now,” she said. “I can’t believe this is happening.” Horacio comforted her as they took her to the ambulance. “You’re fine, Liv,” he reassured her. “I am very proud of what you have done. Whatever happens, I’m very proud. I’m with you.”

Of course, Olivia was devastated as she screamed, “I don’t want to give up,” but Horacio was adamant that he wasn’t going to give up. As much as he wanted to win the final, his teammate’s health came first at the moment. In a later confessional, Olivia cried, with bruises around her eyes and nose. “He doesn’t care about the game, he cares about me,” she shared. “It’s okay because I know he’s super competitive, but he doesn’t care anymore. It’s just, “I want to make sure you’re okay.” I feel like this is the best we’ve achieved all season.”

In the ambulance, Olivia was not yet ready to give up. “But I don’t know if I can run if I’m dizzy,” she told her partner. He insisted that he didn’t have to worry about it and she pressured him to win the challenge himself. Horace assured Olivia that she would “kill” her if she could do it herself. Olivia was taken away in an ambulance.

Now, Horacio was crying upon learning of his fate. “I have to finish this, I’m serious,” he said. “I’ll do double duty, okay.” A producer even had to come out and comfort him, apologizing for the stage.

Three months later, Olivia and Horacio were filmed together in another confessional. This time her face was healed and they accepted what had happened. “I feel like it’s my fault,” Olivia admitted. But Horace still supported her. “I don’t see it that way. Don’t apologize. We both got this far because of you and me. What happened was an accident. You blew my expectations out of the water. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Li i really love them very much and i love them very much and i hope this is not our last rodeo They ended the segment with a hug.o – you are so sweet

Now the remaining three teams will advance to the final. The challenge continue with another new episode on February 8th.
