Dave Bautista Talks DUNE: PART TWO, Explains How It’s ‘Much More Amped Than The First Movie’

Dave Bautista he’s making the press rounds for his next film Knock on the boothand while he’s on that journey, he’s also advertising another of his highly anticipated films… Dune: second part.

Director Denis Villeneuve has already teased that the sequel will be much bigger than the first, describing it as the “main meal”. Well, now Bautista is offering some insight into the film and, in a recent interview with Collider, he teased:

“The first movie was just an introduction to what this movie is all about. There’s so much going on, it’s much more cutthroat and political and intense, and there are moments of levity where [there are] some funny moments, and they’re kind of absurdist humor, but there are those moments. So it’s much more amped up than the first film.

Bautista went on to compare the second film’s intensity to the first, saying, “It was that time 100 because it was Rabban amplified, and my part is much bigger in that.” So it’s exciting to hear! I loved the first one, but it looks like this sequel will be a whole different beast.

Dune: second part “will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he joins Chani and the Fremen as he is on the warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he struggles to prevent a dire future only he can foresee.

The returning cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh BrolinAND Stephen McKinley Henderson. New cast members include Christopher Walken like Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pug as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler like Feyd-Rautha, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, e Souheila Yacoub like Shishakli.
