‘Waller’, the spin-off with Viola Davis, will bridge the first and second seasons of ‘The Peacemaker’

James Gunn does not stop: among the many projects he produces, writing the screenplay for ‘Superman: Legacy’ and responding to Twitter messages, the director of DC Studios is at the top. One of the projects that fans are waiting for the most is the second season of ‘The Peacemaker’, the spin-off of ‘The Suicide Squad’ which had been renewed for a second season but is far from being released. Gunn bluntly explains why: He doesn’t have time to devote himself to the sequel.

This does not imply, far from it, that the future of the series is in danger, but we will have to bear it for a while. To make the wait more pleasant, the other spin-off of ‘The Suicide Squad’ will arrive first: “Waller”, which follows in the footsteps of “The Peacemaker” and will be found between the first and second seasons of the John Cena series. Starring Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, director of ARGUS, the series does not yet have a release date, but Peter Safran has confirmed that it will be one of the first series that we will be able to enjoy the first part of the new DC universe.

Additionally, many of the characters from ‘The Peacemaker’ will be recurring in ‘Waller’, as Gunn revealed via Comicbook, before revealing that the creative team consists of Crystal Henry, screenwriter of ‘Watchmen’, and Jeremy Carver, creator of ‘Doom Patrol’. Both have “an incredibly beautiful story that I think is really great and HBO loves it”.

Upcoming DC series

In addition to the films that will be released this year and the projects that do not yet have a release date, DC Studios has several series planned in its first phase, such as the case of ‘Lost paradise'”Wonder Woman” prequel, “Creature Commandos”, ‘lanterns’ AND “Booster Gold”which follows a guy from the future with no great qualities who travels back in time to pretend to be a superhero.
