Netflix has released a teaser trailer for an upcoming anime titled Gamera: Rebirth this is sure to get Kaiju fans excited for what this series will offer. The six-episode series will see Gamera battle five different Kaiju creatures, and one of those creatures will include Gyaos, which is previewed in a poster for the show.

The series description reads: “From the Showa era to the Heisei era, the production of the new work ‘GAMERA -Rebirth’ of the giant monster Gamera which was loved by monster fans all over the world was decided! Global Distribution on Netflix!”
The project is directed by Mister Shusuke Kaneko, who said in a statement, “When I had my idea for Reiwa Gamera and made a proposal, KADOKAWA already started a new project, and it’s the content that makes me think that’s what happened, so I can expect this also. With that in mind, I’d like to support the team from the position of a baseball commentator who has experience managing the Gamera team until they win the championship and pitch again.
Gamera has been mutated by exposure to nuclear weapons and is a prehistoric fire-breathing turtle monster. He made his big debut in the 1965 film Gamera, the giant monster. “The character and the first film had to compete with the success of Toho’s Godzilla film series. Since then, Gamera has become a Japanese icon in her own right, appearing in a total of 12 films produced by Daiei Film and later Kadokawa Daiei Studio and various media.
