Sadly more and more shows are being canceled across all platforms, from Netflix to HBO Max have their examples. However, speaking of sci-fi and suspense series, there have been several woes that their fans keep complaining about their fate, and not a day goes by when that pain goes away and motivates them to apply for renewal at the Business.

Probably one of sci-fi series that hurt fans the most it was ‘Westworld’, the show created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. One of HBO’s great titles, which had a very good reception after its first two seasons. However, the sci-fi Western couldn’t survive the Warner-Discovery merger and had its track removed entirely from the streaming service.

Raised by wolves

Similarly, one of the most painful cancellations in sci-fi series was that of ‘Raised by Wolves’, produced by Ridley Scott, and created by his son. One of the most innovative stories that had been seen in the genre for several years now, and also one of the best installments of the British director. Two seasons and HBO has decided to cut the head off this sci-fi thriller.

Even horror fans still can’t top that of the best thriller series have been cancelled. We are talking about ‘The Midnight Club’, created by Mike Flanagan, the mastermind behind ‘The Haunting of Hill House’. The show is an adaptation of Christopher Pike’s play of the same name, however, it wasn’t long before Netflix decided to ax it.

Destiny: the Winx saga

Combining the best of fantasy, suspense and youth drama is ‘Destiny: The Winx Saga’, a teen series by Iginio Straffi. This story managed to survive two seasons, which had achieved outstanding numbers, but which were not enough to continue, and Netflix canceled it after the release of its new episodes in September last year.

Through social media and various internet sites, the laments of hundreds of fans complaining about the cancellation of ‘Archivo 81’ continue to be heard. It was a series based on a horror and suspense podcast. The story was produced by James Wan, and in its debut it managed to position itself among the most viewed on Netflix, but in March 2022 the platform decided not to continue with the program.

Hannibal

Based on the novel by Thomas Harris, Mads Mikkelsen starred in ‘Hannibal,’ Bryan Fuller’s creation of one of the most enigmatic and mysterious characters to ever grace the small screen. This series, at the level of ‘Mindhunter’, continues to be one that fans keep asking Netflix every day to give them a new opportunity, to at least close the story.
