‘Nikki Bella says yes’: Artem supports Nikki in wearing John Cena’s wedding dress for her wedding

Part one aired on Jan. 26 and saw Nikki making the decision to get married in just four weeks after a two-and-a-half-year engagement. “As artists, we have no idea when the next show is. [is going to come]Nikki explained. “But we know that whatever happens, the next four weeks are disrupted. I say we broke up earlier dancing with the Stars [begins]. Many things keep happening. Why not officially make our family a family? Artem was on board.

With all the planning that needed to be done in four weeks, Nikki was “upfront” about one thing: her wedding dress. Before dating Artem, Nikki was engaged John Cena, and they were due to wed in spring 2018. Nikki already bought her “two dream dresses” at the time, but she never made it down the aisle. She told her sister about her, beautiful Brie, who wanted to wear one of the dresses when she married Artem. “I feel like when you have these beautiful dresses that cost so much money and are my dream dresses…why don’t I wear them?” Nicky said.

Brie didn’t like it right away, but when Nikki tried on the dress, she couldn’t help but admit how amazing it looked. “I thought it was a little weird that this was your first wedding dress, but now I see it on you and it was made for you and who you are,” admitted Brie. Nikki added: “Wearing this dress… I’m obsessed with it. I’m just me. It has that European charm that I’ve always liked so much. this right”.

Nikki had already opened up to girlfriends magazine about her decision to wear this dress. “I bought these dresses for myself,” Nikki insisted. “People will try to make you think differently and say, ‘Oh, but it was about that person and that wedding.’ But after being on this trip, I realized that… no. I didn’t buy those clothes for that person. Yes, it would have been for that event, but that event didn’t happen. So my advice to anyone who already owns her dress and is in the same situation is, if that dress is something you love, wear it. If not, you will always think so. You have an attachment to it. Do what makes you happy.”

As the episode progressed, many of Nikki and Artem’s dream plans for their Napa wedding began to fall through. In the midst of all of this, Nikki also had to tell Artem about her plans to dress up. Luckily he wasn’t angry. “That’s the last thing on my mind,” Artem said to Nikki. “If you’re happy with it, you’re happy with it. If it’s the dress you want to wear, wear the dress you want to wear.”

For Artem, the biggest problem was that his parents would not be able to attend the wedding. Artem’s family lives in Russia and, with the war in Ukraine, it would be “impossible” for them to fly to the United States for the wedding. “My parents lived their lives for my brother and me,” Artem said, holding back tears. “And you are supposed to raise and take care of them and I feel so helpless about it. I can’t send him any more money.”

The situation made Nikki and Artem change all their plans and decide to get married in Paris. “Ever since I was growing up, I’ve always been fascinated by the phrase ‘Escape to Paris with me,'” Nikki shared. “I always thought I’d use it on a guy. I think I’ve finally figured out that maybe it’s about my wedding and I just need my fiancé to run away to Paris with me and get married.
