

Netflix wins 16 Oscar nominations 2023 with the best blockbusters of the year – Special (Netflix)
On January 24, the list of films nominated for the Oscars 2023 in which Netflix managed to stand out with a total of 16 nominations in which the film “All Quiet Front” became one of the best of the year, being nominated 9 times in the categories, including best film.
In total, 8 Netflix original films were nominated for the 2023 Oscars, among which ‘No news at the front’ with the most nominations, however other hits were also part of the anticipated announcement such as ‘blonde’ and ‘Pinocchio’.
After being the most nominated in the Razzie Awards for the worst of 2022, the biopic of Marilyn Monroe, ‘Blonde’ was chosen by the Oscars 2023 in the Best Actress category, in which Ana de Armas will compete against major movie stars for the first time in this prestigious celebration honoring the best of the year.

Secondly, ‘Pinocchio’ is not the only production that puts Mexico at the top of the 2023 Oscars, since ‘Bardo: false chronicle of few truths’ was also chosen in this list, particularly in the Best Cinematography category, while Guillermo del Toro’s film will compete for the statuette of best animated film.
Curiously, the award for best animated film could also go to ‘Monster of the Sea’, another of the Netflix Original Movies who were chosen in the 2023 Oscars nominations list, which increases the chances that the streaming giant could take home a gold statuette.
Netflix’s big surprises at the 2023 Oscars
In addition to the nominations already presented previously, which however were awaited by the specialized critics, some productions by Netflix They have turned out to be a big surprise in the Oscars 2023 list, such as “Glass Onion” for best adapted screenplay, or even “Our Baby Elephant” and “The Martha Mitchelle Effect” for best documentary.
The 2023 Oscar awards will take place on March 12 and Netflix will be present with its 16 nominations trying to demonstrate that films on streaming platforms can be as successful as on the big screen and therefore ‘No news on the front’ could be chosen as the big winner of the night, although for now we will have to continue to wait.
