Heartbreaking Experimental Horror Movies That Will Blow Your Mind – Netflix (Courtesy)
Few are used to the horror that makes them genuinely uncomfortable, uncomfortable and mentally challenged to know what the story is about, if any. And for those people, there are experimental horror films, which, as their name implies, play with the limits of what is established and want to test how far the genre is capable of going.
One of best experimental horror movies it couldn’t have come from anyone but David Lynch, and while many of his works could make the list, we’re left with ‘Eraserhead’. This is a film starring Jack Nance in which he brings to life Henry Spencer, a man who has just found out that he is the father of a child who came out deformed.
history of the occult
Rarely can one speak of a paranormal political thriller, as is ‘History of the Occult’, a experimental horror film by Christian Ponce. This Argentinian production follows Adrián Marcato, a man who goes to the latest investigative program to accuse the president of participating in an occult conspiracy and linking the government to the coven. Available on Netflix.
Perfect blue
Since there is also good horror in anime, we have a haunting experimental horror film as well as Satoshi Kon’s ‘Perfect Blue’. The story follows Junko, a girl who is a pop star but is now trying to become a serial actress, even though her childhood past haunts her wherever she goes.

Whether it’s the original 1997 version or the shot-by-shot 2007 remake, ‘Funny Games’ is a horror thriller from director Michael Haneke. It’s about a family who wants to spend a quiet vacation in their lake house, and who one day receives a visit from two young men who start torturing them, but that’s not all, because the public is also part of it.
rabbits
Since, as we said before, David Lynch may have several entries in the list, he returns with a feature film, which was originally a 9-episode mini-series, ‘Rabbits’. On this occasion, Naomi Watts stars in this story of three anthropomorphic rabbits who are locked up in a room and occasionally have strange conversations.
PI
Director Darren Aronofsky’s debut was with this sci-fi neo-noir psychological thriller, ‘PI’.
