Amazon Prime Video has released a promotional clip for the highly anticipated second season of Robert Kirkmannanimated adaptation of Invincible. Amazon teased that they would be delivering something big for the show this month and here we are!
The clip features Mark Grayson, aka Invincible, sitting in a Burger Mart diner with Allen the alien. Allen is busy eating a hamburger while Invincible is telling him what he’s been up to, and becomes meta as he shares that he’s been busy developing Season 2 of Invincible. Allen gets a little upset and asks for a specific day for the season to come out, and Mark tells him it’s the end of 2023.
Star of the series Steven Yeun spoke about the upcoming season and shared that Kirkman is incredibly excited about what will happen in the next chapter of the story. He said:
“[Kirkman’s] super enthusiastic. He thinks season two will be even better than season one, which I have no doubt about. If you go to its source material, Invincible is an incredible comic, and just thinking about how much story hasn’t been told since that run, that’s going to be insane. I’m really excited about it.”
Invincible revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Yeun), who is just like every other boy his age, except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (JK Simmons). The Season 1 finale was insane as it ended with the revelation of Omni-Man’s true twisted intentions. I’m excited to see how the story continues to play out in Season 2!
The series is also starring Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Zechariah Quintus, Jason Mantzukas, Melise, Mark Hammill, Mahershala Ali, Seth Rogenand more.
