Chris Lane Admits Having 2 Kids Under 2 Is A ‘Tough Adjustment’ – We’re ‘A Little Burnt Out’ (Exclusive)

But despite everything, we survive”.

Chris has been spending time at home in early 2023, but will be playing the Hilton Grand Vacations golf tournament this week. The televised event brings together LGPA tour winners and 50 of sports, entertainment and music’s biggest stars as they compete for a $2 million purse. “I’m a very competitive person and absolutely obsessed with golf,” Chris shared. “These two factors definitely played a part in my desire to be a part of it. I have a few friends who have done it in the past and they’ve said how much they love it, so I’m really excited to be invited to join.

Since golf is one of the country singer’s favorite pastimes, he wants his children to participate in the sport as well. “My ultimate goal is to make both boys professional golfers, but they won’t be able to raise their father. [to achieve that], so I hope they have someone else’s genes,” Chris laughed. “My one-year-old already has a round of golf. I have a putting green in my backyard so I’m trying to get it used to holding my club and wanting to do it. He likes him, so I hope he accepts that.”

While Dutton isn’t yet an expert player, he’s reaching new heights every day, according to Chris. “He’s just saying a lot more words,” exulted the proud dad. “It seems to me that every day he is inventing a new word. It was fun. He has a lot of energy, I’ll tell him. You’re wasting your father!

Chris has been on the road for most of 2022, but this year he’s taking a step back and slowing down a bit. “It was great to be home,” he said. “I’m going to take the front end of this year to be home and help out and honestly spend as much time as possible writing and in the studio. I’m excited to release new music and all that kind of stuff. So I’m going to take some time off the road and be there for Lauren and the kids.”

It’s been four and a half years since Chris has released a full album, and that’s the goal he’s been working towards this year. “I will eventually release an album, maybe an EP before I release any new music,” revealed Chris. “This will be my third album and I just want to make sure I get all the right songs. Along the way, you get a lot of feedback on what people love and some songs that don’t react the way you expect, and then you go back to the drawing board. That’s how they are. Just write as many songs as possible to get to the next one.”
