Cary Elwes says MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – DEAD RECKONING is ‘the greatest film in the franchise’

Tom Cruise created a lot of hype for the next installment of Mission Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible – Showdown, with all its crazy stunt videos. We have footage of a plane stunt he’s doing for the film and, of course, there’s the crazy stunt where he drives a motorcycle off a cliff into a base jump. It is said to be “The Greatest Stunt in the History of Motion Pictures”.

In case you need a little more hype to convince you of the film, Cary Elwes offers high praise for the film in an interview with Empire, saying, “The scale of the film is extraordinary; I think it will be the biggest film in the franchise.”

I guess that’s not surprising to learn, as each film made in the franchise has been bigger than the last. Not much is known about the story yet, but the first trailer released teases some big threats that Ethan Hunt will face.

Elwes also spoke about joining the film and working with Cruise saying, “It was my first time working with Tom Cruise in 31 years, so it was a great call to have. He has this incredible work ethic; he’s very focused and hardworking, and expects everyone else to perform at the same level.”

Mission: Impossible – Showdown was directed by Christopher McCarrie and is also the protagonist Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Simone Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa KirbyAnd Henry Czerny together with the newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Clementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War) And Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans), Charles Parnell, Indira Varma (game of Thrones), And Marco Gatis. Nick Offerman (Parks and Amusement)Janet McTeer (Tumbleweed, Albert Nobbs), And Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, Nightmare Alley).

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, first part And Second part will be released on July 14, 2023 and June 28, 2024. You can watch the teaser trailer for the film here.
