Kim Kardashian buys one of Lady Di’s most iconic necklaces for just under $200,000

Kim Kardashian buys one of Lady Di’s most iconic necklaces for just under 0,000

It seems that Kim Kardashian gets a taste for collecting collectibles. Arguably her most famous acquisition (although it was actually a loan, as they left it for that evening) was Marylin Monroe’s dress for the MET Gala last May, both because of the impossible diet she had to go on to get into it and because of the damage suffered by the dress. But among his personal collection are, according to TMZ, pieces like a Jackie O’s Cartier watch, and even items from Elizabeth Taylor’s estate. A list containing the name of Lady Di.

As reported page six the influencers allegedly bought the Attallah Cross, an amethyst and diamond necklace that Princess Diana wore on several occasions. According to the auction house where it was bought, Sotheby’s, Kim Kardashian bought it for more than double the original estimated estimate: $197,453 (about $182,750 if we do the conversion). A price that is not small at all, but that makes us think about the value of things.

Although it is believed she wore it on more occasions, the only time we have photographic evidence of Lady Di wearing this necklace was in October 1987 at a charity gala in London. In it, the Princess of Wales chose to wear it with a pearl necklace, giving it that touch that was hers, to add a looks like most elegant in violet tones.

Actually a necklace designed and worn exclusively by Diana Princess of Wales has that price? Pieces like this…They should be at auctions or in museums? Maybe it’s time to start questioning things like this. While Sotheby’s is pleased with the transaction, as they expressed in a statement, “we are delighted that this piece has found new life in the hands of another world-renowned name.”

Now the question is clear: what will be the next “goal” of the founder of the clan?
