Robert Pattinson’s production company Icki Eneo Arlo and LA-based independent production company Spacemaker Productions have joined the film crew for Sebastian Silva’s outrageous dark comedy Rotting in the sunstarring Silva and comedian Jordan Firstman.

Rotting in the sun, produced by Hidden Content, The Lift and in association with Caffeine Post, will have its world premiere at Sundance 2023 in the Premieres section. This is Silva’s fifth return to Sundance, where he previously won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize and Directing Award. Range Select handles domestic sales.

In the film, frustrated ketamine-addicted artist Sebastian Silva and lovable comedian-influencer Jordan Firstman cross paths on a nude beach in Mexico. When Firstman visits him in Mexico City, he discovers that his new colleague has mysteriously disappeared, as has his betrayed housekeeper, Vero (Silva’s star Catalina Saavedra). The girl) looks suspicious.

Founded in 2020 as a writer-centric production company and financier, Spacemaker Productions has the latest project How do you blow up a pipeline? It follows the company’s first projects, the Sundance 2020 hit by Eugene Kotlyarenko Spreeand Dasha Nekrasova’s art house horror favorite, The eerie of sixty-onenamed best debut work at the Berlinale 2021. Both films opened in cinemas.
