Everyone has seen movies at some point in their life, whether for entertainment or to kill time. However, once you cross that threshold where it’s just fun, there comes a time where it becomes true love. That’s why these tapes will help you reawaken that passion for cinema or, if you already have it, take it to another level.
It might be too soon if you don’t know other titles like this, but ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ is one of the best movies to awaken your love of cinema. While it may seem a little boring, Stanley Kubrick’s science fiction tale is one of the most important works in the history of cinema, more than 60 years after its premiere in 1968.
Apocalypse now
And if we talk about classics, you also have to see one of the films that will take your passion for cinema to another level, as well as ‘Apocalypse Now’. One of the most important anti-war works, and running under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola, with Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, Harrison Ford and others. In some territories you can find it on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
abnormal
Although many believe that rom-coms are not considered ‘serious’, ‘Anomalisa’ is one of them best movies to love cinema animation and all its capabilities. It’s a story by acclaimed director and screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, opposite Duke Johnson, in which they tell the story of a motivator who helps people, but each story seems more and more monotonous. Available on Claro, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video.

Amelie
To continue along the same lines, we have ‘Amelie’, a romantic comedy directed by Jeane Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tautou. Eleven
Directed by John Carney, ‘Once’ is a musical love story in which Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, true musicians, star in this independent film that shares the spirit of creation. The story follows a street musician and an immigrant who have just met, and their love of music brings them together to create heartfelt art together. Available in film.
the wolf children
Finally, as far as anime goes, there are many that could have made the list, such as ‘Akira’ or ‘The End of Evangelion’. But in one story that anyone could enjoy regardless, we have ‘The Wolf Children’, by Mamoru Hosoda. It’s a review of ‘Twilight’, only this time a girl falls in love with a werewolf, with whom she has two children and whom she has to raise on her own after her death.
