No need to worry – as we told you, M3GAN 2.0, was inevitable and Universal just announced a January 17, 2025 release of the sequel to the Blumhouse and Atomic Monster hit movie. The film, now in its second week, earned $92 million worldwide on a $12 million budget.
M3GAN opened to $30.4 million and had a staggering -40% ease in its second weekend. The gross value of the painting in the United States is $61.6 million.
The photo was created in collaboration with Divide/Conquer and is a work in progress. The sequel will be directed by Akela Cooper (M3GAN, maliciously, The nun 2), who wrote the screenplay for the original film. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are on board to return for the sequel. Williams will also serve as a producer. It served as the EP for the original film.
Jason Blum, James Wan and Allison Williams are producers of the hit film 2.0. Michael Clear and Judson Scott of Wan’s Atomic Monster banner will executive produce. Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek serves as executive producer. Mark Katchur serves as executive producer. Divide/Conquer’s Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath are also EPs.
Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are in final merger talks.
